250 Race Limit:  Due to safety concerns we are setting a limit of 250 participants on a first come basis.  Entry on the day will only be available if the limit is not reached by the deadline for pre-entry – 4th August.

Running Number:  Your running number is enclosed.  It must be worn on the front of your vest, this enables officials to know who you are.  Take care not to loose or mutilate your number which is not only contrary to S.A.F. rules but also makes the job of the recorders manning the finish impossible.

The START and ASSEMBLY area:  The assembly area is at MARKET MUIR, FORFAR, and all participants should be at this point no later than 10:45am.  Please line up as per your estimated finishing time.

Changing Accommodation:  Changing facilities are limited so we request that where possible you arrive at the start already changed.  No baggage should be left in the changing area.  All baggage should be left in the designated area.  The organisers will accept no liability for loss of, or damage to, competitors’ property.

Car Parking:  On entering Forfar follow race signs.  There will be ample parking facilities at Market Muir, adjacent to Station Park or as directed by race marshalls.  To help, we request that you share transport where ever possible.

Toilets:  A limited number of public toilets available at Market Muir

Route & Refreshment Station:  The route is an accurately measured 10K heading towards Montrose on the B9113 then turning left towards Lunanhead and returning to Forfar on the B9134.  Marshalls/Police will be at junctions, so please obey their instructions.  Please run on the left hand side of the road.  Each kilometre is marked accurately. One refreshment station is provided at approximately 6km.  A  course map is available at www.forfaroadrunners.com.

First Aid:  St. Andrews Ambulance Association will provide medical help on route should you need it.  If you are unable to finish, try to walk to the refreshment station or wait for our sweep vehicle.

The Finish  Having finished please keep moving in the same order.    Please ensure your number is clearly visible.  Your special memento will be presented for your achievement.  Refreshments will be available.

Results:  Results are available to all competitors upon receipt of a stamped addressed envelope.  A copy of the results will be published at www.ForfarRoadRunners.com within 48hours.
