Registration Oznaburg Bar from 6:00pm

This race dates back to 2004 and was originally known as 'Baxters Bummie' founded by Ian Matheson and local publican and sponsor of the race Stewart Baxter, licencee of Baxters Bar & Bistro.  The race finished in the carpark behind the bar in Littlecauseway.  Stephen Connor was the original winner of the race.

Stewart sold the business to Belhaven, the scurge of Forfar and the new licensee's were not interested in supporting either the event or the club.  The club decanted just down the hill to their present home - the Oz (Oznaburg Bar) and the race followed and now is slightly longer with a tricky finish down to the bottom of the stone courtyard of the Littlecauseway.

The course is just under 3.5 miles with 745' of climbing with the race starting in Reid Park Road up through the park up the beech hedge path.  The route then heads over the back of 'Bummie' to the Tolbooth Quarries then down to Slatefield Quarry returning through the steep shale paths then down and up Gallowhill then up to the Balmashanner Monument, built to commemorate the 1st World War then returning back down the beech hedge path through the park down Reid Park Road, Down New Road and the Littlecauseway.
