Forfar 10K 2007

On a cool damp day with almost perfect weather for running 216 runners enjoyed a slightly undulating but fast and scenic course.  We would like to thank all the runners for making it such a fantastic race especially Scottish Prison Service AAC who made it a selection race for forth coming international events.

In the mens race Eric Riddle of Penicuilck Harriers (34:13) took nearly a minute out of Neil Gunstone of Dundee Hawkhill Harriers (35:06) who was followed by Duncan McGougan of Carnegie Harriers in (35:17).  The team honours went to Dundee Hawkhill Harriers 2nd Metro Aberdeen and 3rd SPS AAC.

The Ladies race saw Nicola May of Carnegie (38:12) take nearly two minutes out of Marion Wood (FSV) of Arbroath Footers (39:52), who was followed in by Jo McColgan from Forfar in a very creditable 40:06. Team honours went to Fife AC only just piping Forfar Road Runners with Arbroath Footers trailing in a distant 3rd.
